Using a Google Audience Channel

The Google Audience channel enables users to synchronise Engage data into Google Audiences. Users can leverage the organisation's full knowledge of customer behaviour to group similar buying habits. Grouping those customers and uploading them to a Google Audience allows marketers to target consumers with ads that have a high likelihood of engagement, maximising the organisation's marketing impact and ROI.

Note: Engage can only target existing lists in Google Audiences. To use a Google Audiences Channel in Engage, it may be necessary to first create an empty list to target.

Add a Google Audience Step to a Campaign

  1. Open or create the Campaign intended to output data to Google Audiences.

  2. Add or select the Communication step that will send data to Google Audiences.

  3. Select the Google Audience Channel from the list of available Communication Channels.

Note: If there is no option for Google Audiences, contact the system’s administrator to confirm that the channel is configured.

  4. Select the Target List (created within Google Audiences) to which Engage will output the data.

  5. Select how Engage will communicate with Google Audiences.

    • Add – Add an Engage audience to a User List within the Google platform.

    • Remove – Remove an Engage audience from a User List within the Google platform.

    • Sync – Add any contacts in an Engage audience that are not already in a User List within the Google platform, and remove any members from that same User List that are not in the Engage audience.

  6. Save and run the Campaign to update the User List in Google.
